On 19th September 2024, the Executive Director and Management of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) hosted a delegation from the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) for a short signing ceremony at the EOCO Head Office in Accra. The purpose of the ceremony was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and make official the cordial relationship between the two institutions.

In her welcome address, COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the Executive Director of EOCO expressed her enthusiasm about the new partnership and hoped both institutions would benefit in the area of training for EOCO Staff and apprenticeship, internship and national service opportunities for students of the GCTU. She added that she looks forward to a very actionable relationship leading to impactful results.

Ms Sedina Gbeve Esq. from EOCO took the delegation through a brief presentation on the mandate and functions of the Office after which the two parties signed the document.
Prof. Ebo Hinson Pro Vice-Chancellor, representing the Vice-Chancellor of GCTU, Prof. Emmanuel Ohene Afoakwa, expressed his excitement to be in EOCO and the partnership that both institutions were about to embark on. He added that the main mandate of the GCTU is to train students in Information Communications Technology (ICT) and related courses and therefore looks forward to having a mutually beneficial relationship with EOCO following the signing.
Present at the meeting were the two (2) Deputy Executive Directors and some management team members of EOCO. The Team from GCTU also included Prof. Robert Ebo Hinson, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Antwi-Boampong -Head of the Industrial Liaison Department and Dr. Nusrat-Jahan Abubakar – Director University Relations. Also present were Dr. Ruhiya Abubakar- Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. William Leslie Brown-Acquaye-Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems, Dr. George Appong- Dean of the Business School, Mr. Francis Edjah- Head of Public Relations and Communications and Mrs. Gloria Adelaide Sosu, the Assistant Registrar of the Industrial Liaison Department.
